Not every company is the same - thankfully! My garage door had been damaged by a family member hitting it with a car. In my haste for repair I first called another garage door company that had surprisingly good 'yelp' ratings; they massively overcharged me for the work they had done and then started telling me I needed to pay a crazy price for a new garage door opener as well. Once I realized what was going on I stopped working with them and called Precision Garage Door instead, after verifying they were professionally certified and a well established company. I only wish I had called them first! Even though by the time I called it was already the afternoon, they set up a same day appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate and if needed a same day repair. Paul Brinkman arrived as promised and quickly diagnosed the issues, which unsurprisingly included not only my original problems but also some problems that had been completely overlooked by the first company. He also pointed out that I didn't need a new garage door opener because my old one was working fine, and the real problem was all the work the other company had not done. He got right to work and had my door working better than before for about half of what the other company had told me I would need to pay! Absolutely top quality work, and Paul was friendly and informative as well. I will absolutely be calling Precision Garage Door again for future garage door maintenance!

Phillip came out on a Friday night after the Spring broke on our garage door. He gave 3 options for repair and we chose to replace most of the parts since our garage door was fairly old. He explained everything he was doing and gave advice on how to maintain the longevity of the door. It's a bit pricey but understandable since they urgently can triage everything and fix it on the spot. It's a good thing we decided to replace all the parts since a couple of the brackets looked like they would fall apart any day. Phillip was wonderful throughout the process, would recommend him for anything related to garage doors

Ready for a trip the cable on my garage door came off the spool on both sides, locking my door a foot and a half off the ground. The bottom panel was damaged and warped where the cable attached. Being a last-minute emergency, I had a friend call a different company to come in close the door. They did so, but said I would need a new garage door due to all the damage to the panel the tracks and the cables I called Precision garage door for a new door quote and Paul Brinkman came the next day. He took a look at all the damage and said he could fix it instead, and save me a ton of money.. I was a bit skeptical due to all the different damaged components. But after going through each problem, one at a time, I could tell he was the expert that could actually do the job. Fast forward a few hours after some new parts, like springs, cables, and rollers, and some fixing of existing parts and adjustments, the door was opening like a hot knife through butter. If you value a job, that’s done with high skill, and Precision these are the guys to call. Thanks, Paul!

First of all the tech, Nathaniel came out on Saturday, same day at 4:30. Who does that? Nathanial laid out how the door should work. He explained how he would fix it, quoted his price with options and fixed it. I’ve always had good work done by Precision. This was no exception.

The installer was great. The equipment is a huge improvement over what we had. My only complaint is the pricing is wild. This little garage door service industry needs some transparency. It’s infuriating that they can’t offer any pricing guidelines or ballpark ranges. The fact that they can’t tell you that they don’t get out of bed for under a grand would just save us all a lot of stress. Fellow homeowners, I was quoted $3,400 for new springs, new belt driven opener and all new hardware except the track and door. Granted it was same day service backed by a large company that answers the phone… but for a two hour, one man job, it’s a hell of a markup. End of the day, jobs done, the guy was great… just wish the whole thing was more transparent.
