The charge was twice the quoted value. The quote was $380 and the charge was more than $800. This bait and switch is not fair or legal. You should give me a fair refund.

Called in evening with malfunctioning garage doors and service was provided the very next morning. A technician called in the early part of the 4 hour arrival window to leave a message that he was arriving in 15 minutes. My husband was unable to decipher any of the message due to poor quality English spoken very fast. I am fluent in Spanish and was able to make out that his name was Paulino. Our experience with him was mixed. He assessed and repaired the problem competently and expeditiously and did not pressure me to replace unnecessary parts. He also provided, but only upon asking, suggestions about future maintenance. When I expressed my sticker shock at the $1,800 cost of the repair, which included new springs, cables, wheels, and some tightening and lubricating, he was dismissive of my concern brushing it off as purely inflationary. My husband ran a manufacturing business for many years and is well aware of industry markup margins for parts. When we reviewed the invoice in detail, it became clear to us a large component of the “inflation” was on the part of Precision, Paulino, or both. We realized it was a classic ripoff. There were also red flags about the overall dubious professional trustworthiness of this technician. We will take our business elsewhere for any future service.

I was told to expect Paul but a guy named Kevin came instead and he told me he's only been working there for 3 months. He finished replacing both springs in 30 minutes but the door was very noisy. I asked him to lubricate the springs/door he said that would be an extra $199. I was charged $950 for replacing the springs, I feel that that should be included, it's just courtesy!

The technician did a good job and fixed the current problem. However, a charge of over $400 for a one hour service call is excessive and I will not be using Precision Door Service again
- John Sorensen
Hi Mr. Sorensen, Thank you for the review. Happy to hear that we fixed the problem, but not great that we did a poor job at communicating options. If you'd like to discuss further, please feel free to reach out us @510-785-9195. Ask for Freddy. Hoping we get a chance to chat. Regards, Freddy Cespedes General Manager

Seems to work well! Sadly the tech left the old sensors in place instead of replacing them with the new ones! I'm so tired of having to watch people in the trades and their dishonesty!!! Charged full price but got less than full service!!!

Your response for service is very prompt and price is very unreasonably high and do not recommend.

Service was completely promptly by Paulino. Thanks for coming out the next morning...HOWEVER... it cost us $1000 instead of $350 for just the springs! I had a broken spring on the left side...which meant both springs needed to be replaced for "safety" reasons. After looking at the door, Paulino suggested we replace the 4" rollers (10 of them $325.00) and 2 loose bearings ($250).... I felt it was a TOTAL up-sell (money maker for them)...and we didn't have time to look into what could possible be wrong with the rollers. Felt scammed. The job was complete in 45 minutes...FAST! That was a quick $1000 for Precision. Geez.

A receipt was never emailed only this survey. Good technician, but bad business systems, no email receipt, had to call to get one, appointment originally set for April 30 between 12:30 and 4:30. Noone showed up. When I called they said the receptionist never set up the appointment since I didn't finalize the call. Not true, I stated OK when she said the time, she didn't ask for any more info, said nothing so I hung up. Technicians are very good, systems, or management seems to be problematic.

The Pros: Answered the phone at 5am when I called. Very courteous on the phone, detailed, and immediately gave an acceptable window (10am-2pm). The Cons: Didn't call ahead of time despite telling me he would (minor). Coming near the end of the window (minor). Then the work was "You have to get all these things new", which included two springs, a roller, and two drums. The full cost was $1125 with installation. I then checked and found a new door, fully installed, from another company would be closr to $1300, and it would include an actual new door, springs, motor, and everything else. We ended up paying because our car was trapped in the garage before the guy arrived, and we didn't feel comfortable saying "No" after he started working. So, while prompt, if you can avoid calling them, you should.

There was a communication barrier between us.He either didn't understand what I was saying or didn't care. His main focus was to sell me something that I didn't think I needed. When I asked him why I needed it, he tried to change the subject. He felt totally untrustworthy to me, which is why I declined to have any additional work done.

Said they would get her by 2:00pm. Called at 1:30 to say would not be here until 2:30pm. I said no thanks, I have better things to do with my time. Called another company to come tomorrow.

Vajit, We apologize. You are absolutely right. We need to get to our appointments on time , not 3 minutes late. I hope we get a chance to earn your business and do a better job next time

Service technician is professional and he was constrained per company policy on parts pricing. There is huge mark up for the price of parts to 10x. I am surprised bearings cost $303 + tax for torsion tubes when the cost for a pair with mounting with highest quality is just under $20. This is a rip off, anyone can replace those within 30 mins with ease. I don't doubt the service quality but parts markup is 10x which is huge and will refrain from these services with your company period. Spring cost is $300 per spring is rip off, I am surprised are you offering a part which is military standard like what is done in parts for space crafts and just offering only 30K cycles which is highest standard for residential garages currently. I will refrain from your company, and regret have to get service from your company and had been ripped off. I will give caution to senior citizens where with friendly technicians will be taken for a good time ride with huge $$$ drain for a simple service. I give a high rating for your technicians professional work despite being ripped off with over $1110.00 for a simple service.
