The Five star rating is for Mario. He did a great job at getting my garage door working again. Pretty much the whole assembly was broken and he replaced almost everything. It was a little over $1700. The price was much higher than I expected and I wish that I had called around a bit more because now I will always wonder if I was overcharged or not. It just seemed like a tremendous amount of money, but I didn't do enough homework to know what to expect either. I am happy for the 5 year warranty on it though. It is a big chunk of money but will be guaranteed to work for at least 5 years. Mario was very thorough, on time, explained everything in language I could understand, and he showed me all the broken pieces so I know that they were definitely bad, and he gave me a surge protector and a new keypad entry for no charge he said.

Mario was the technician that came out, He was punctual arriving wearing a mask and at the time he stated in he pre appointment phone call 30 mins prior. short story: If there was negative 5 stars I would use that: I had rather unusual design and I shared that when calling up for the service. They confirmed that side mounted garage door motors had been seen before and are not a problem at all. I needed to fix broken spring. - The technician was on-time and initially friendly. Thats where the good things end, - The technician offered three options for my review: - Option 1: $1006 includes replacement of 2 springs, pulleys, and cables - Option 2: $1357 (if I remember right) would inllude something else - Option 3: $1536 (if I remember right) would include some more stuff I invite you to call around and figure out if these are fair prices to resolve broken garage spring problem. Then the technician went on to criticize the size and gage of the hinges. then we went on to criticize the location and installation of the motor. The motor was there for more then 20 years and was just fine, by the way. After briefly trying to disassemble the mechanism that connects motor to the bar, he said that it takes too much time. Unless I pay for anther one hour, he would leave. At that point I got no choice. Apparently, the charge of almost $400 for replacing 2 springs are not enough to cover additional 10 minutes to do the job right. I give you a couple more facts that will help you to decide the quality of work: = The technician tried to force the bolt with messed up thread in.. I had to ask for a new bolt,. = The motor is connected to the bar via a toothwheel and bicycle chain. The technician used a screwdriver and hammer to knock the chain off the toothwheel. That is a sure way to destroy the chain and mess up the toothwheel. Now you have similar info as I wish I had before inviting the tech. Net out: Good part: The garage door opens now. It also closes. It was done in one day, so I only had to take off once. It was $535,. Ugly part: Watching the chain being kicked with the screwdriver and bolts with stripped thread forced in makes me sick to the core. I am very concerned that these will cause a long term damage. also, I dont think the technician sprayed joints/cables with Lithium grease to avoid their damage. That is typically done,. Now we do not have urgency, so I have time to reach to my friends and find a garage door tech who is actually carefull and thourough. It will probably cost me another $500 to undo the damage and verify that the bolts are threaded in right, parts are not damaged,... I am ok with doing that. I dont think this review will end up being published, so I will copy it to yelp

I felt comfortable starting with the initial phone call to the shop (can't say that about other shops I called). I was able to get an appointment the same day which was nice but not expected. Mario was the tech assigned to the call and he let me know when he was on the way. I needed a garage repair but didn't know what was amiss. He was personable, efficient, and I learned a few things in the process. And also arrived with mask and gloves due to the pandemic. I am hoping this was the solution needed (just had the service)! I would recommend.

Called for new openers and minor maintenance on a garage door at a new property. Received a kind human voice over the phone taking necessary information and a time slot for service the following morning. The technician arrived on time and called prior to arrival as promised. He was professional and thoroughly explained everything. He did the work quickly and efficiently and left no mess. Highly recommend.

First, I was assigned to the technician James. I was told he would be to my residence between 4 pm to 6 pm. However, he would call 20 to 30 minutes before to announce his arrival. At 10 minutes to 6 I had not heard from James. I called the office and they called and texted James for location and ETA. I was told I should hear from him soon. Another hour passed so I called the office again. Once again I informed the staff NO contact from James. They again reached out to James who allegedly texted back stating he would arrive in 15 minutes. Ten minutes later I get a call from Alex, another technician stating he would be here within 25 minutes. He tried to diagnose the problem over the phone but wasn't able. Upon his arrival, Alex was able to determine the cause and correct the problem. Whether the sensors wore out or damaged from a power surge, our power was out for about 2 hours, is suspect. Regardless, Alex was professional and knowledgeable. He actually saved the company from a less than favorable review which I was prepared to write. The company needs to have the call center be upfront and not tell clients they spoke to the tech., when in fact is was more likely they were making other arrangements. I could accept that rather than be told they communicated with James and I subsequently receive a call from Alex. Let Alex know his service saved the company from receiving a less than favorable rating. It went from what I was prepared to give, a two, to a four. I could not give a 5 due to the earlier problem with James.
