The new insulated door is very quiet, and so is the belt driven Lift Master garage door opener. The installer was on time and very proficient.Sorry I forgot his name. He is a Mexican with an Italian name. Overall I am very happy with this garage door replacement.

Brandon Brooks was our technician. He was a true professional. He clearly explained what needed to be done and then explained how the new garage door system works. He was easy to talk to, efficient, and friendly. He even cleaned up after the job was completed. If we ever have to call Precision Door again (we hope not!), Brandon will be our go-to guy.

I contacted The San Jose Service Area at 7:21AM, Friday 30th August. After explaining to the receptionist my issue and after taking some information she arranged to have a technician contact me between 12:30PM and 4:30 PM. Mike contacted me at 10:20AM to say he would be available at 11:30AM. He arrived on time and reviewed the issue and gave me a quote. I agreed and he started the job. After dismantling the broken parts he observed other issues. These he showed me and again gave me the cost of replacing them. I agreed and he finished the job just before Noon. He was very polite, professional, and I would recommend him and the company to friends, neighbors, and acquaintances for the 5 star service.

Technicians Mario & Erik called in advance of arrival and arrived when promised. Both were very professional and courteous making good recommendations after examining my 20 year old overhead door. They made the repairs and serviced all other moving parts. I was pleased with their work and courtesy. My only negative is the pricing of the parts needing replacement: (2) seven foot torsion cables $286 and (2) cable drums $196.56. This did include labor to install but still seemed somewhat expensive.

Would you like to pay $50.00 for someone coming down to tell the quote and not taking their service ? This is what Precision business model does. I got a spring broken and call Precision. One guy came in and tried to convince me that I need to replace everything for $2300+ in total. The same garage door opener is ~300 from Homedepot and they charge ~800. The spring price is ~400 while I got it done at $309 from other company. By the time I have to let Precision's guy go, I realized that I had to pay them $50.00 for their doing nothing but coming down to give me a quote. If you are going to have their business anyway, why do you waste time on reading the reviews here ? If you are just looking for possibilities to have Precision's service, DO NOT CALL them at all !!! Keep in mind that is $50.00 call to get a quote only.

Precision did some major parts replacement on my garage door in March 2017. Torsion Springs, drums, cables, rollers, bearings, hinges. Because of the 5 year warranty I called them when my door was making a "snapping" noise when it was closing. Paulino quickly found that one of the panels was bent causing the door alignment to be off. Have no idea how this happened, but it was quickly bent back into shape and the noise was gone. He also checked the door closure pressure and made a minor adjustment. Only took a few minutes to remedy the problem. That's why you call a professional! The charge to repair was the fee for the service call of $50. Well worth it. Nice to have a quiet garage door again. Precision stood by the 5=year warranty commitment for the repair. Thanks.

I contacted Precision after having hired competitors twice to first install a garage door and then a second vendor for a servicing need. Both of these experiences left me feeling as though I had been taken for a ride. This time I called Precision based on reviews and I am leaving this review as Mike, Precision Technician, fixed my door providing a complete overiview of issues during estimate, proposing a fix and in the end saving me time and money (he went out of his way to minimize the impact for me). Philip showed up on time. After reviewing what might need to be done and why, he explained it in detail and answered all the questions I had. The drive , motor and spring replacements were done in the amount of time he had indicated and he showed me proper operation and explained the features of the product he installed and also covered recommended maintenance on the door itself as well as those things he had replaced.

I called Precision because I couldn't open my garage door, and Gabriel came out within 90 minutes. He gave me a clear estimate of the work and the price and then he replaced the broken spring. He explained all his work to me and did a wonderful job! And he was friendly and nice as well. Definitely 5 stars for Gabriel and Precision.
