Raised in Minnesota, I came to California in the '80's. I was born to do this job, I have the knack for fixing things plus my height comes in handy for working on things overhead. I installed my first Garage Door in 1980 while in the Air National Guard. I have been fixing things for clients my whole life. When I'm not working I enjoy dining out or catching a movie with family or friends. I also like to travel, and am a fan of the TV show Family Guy. I'm often playing Texas Hold 'em Saturday nights. I enjoy working with clients, I always put the customer first. I will not just fix it, I will be sure you are satisfied with the job, and all your questions are answered.

Paul kept in contact with me throughout the day updating me on when he would be arriving. He inspected the garage door, springs, and the opener and came up with ideas on how to repair/ replace the unit. He provided 3 options and gave honest details for each. What an outstanding job Paul Brickman did with our 37-year-old failing garage door and intermittent opener/mechanism! The original opener was installed when we built our home, with minimum to no maintenance done thereafter. I'm so pleased that I found “Precision Garage Door Co. in our Santa Clara “Diamond Certified Directory” They set up an appointment for the very next day. Paul, our technician, arrived at our home on time and explained what needed to be done either for a temporary fix or to replace the mechanism completely with all the new parts needed. Paul took the time to show me the worn-out parts, explain why they should be replaced and to answer all the technical questions I had. My wife and I agreed to do the project the “RIGHT WAY” and Paul got started. He had all the necessary parts on his truck without going back to the warehouse. When he had finished the installation, Paul took the time to explain to my wife and me the operation and safety features of the newly installed opener. I’m sure our repair took longer than he expected as he left around 11:15 PM. I would unquestionably recommend “Precision Garage Door Co” to anyone needing garage door repairs. We needed a repair on our very old garage door system. I called Precision and they sent someone out that very same day to inspect, quote and repair. That someone was Paul. Paul was very friendly and professional. He gave me all my options and what they all entailed. He completed the job in the time frame that he quoted. For about 2weeks now, the garage opener start having a loud clicking noise when it goes up. Thank you Paul Brinkman. Came out on Labor day, spotted the problem right away and replaced the center bearing plate right away. 2weeks of worrying gone in a blink of an eye.

One of the springs on our roll up door became broken. Called Precision from seeing their commercials on tv. Paul B showed up on time the next morning. Reviewed the broken springs and recommended replacing the bearings and rollers. Granted the door was over 20 years old and I knew, it needed some attention. Paul was courteous and honest and completed the work within the 2 hour time frame that he said. The door works like new again. I advise Paul B that I would use Precision again, when another problem comes up. I would recommend Precision to my neighbors and friends. Bill D.

Had the same guy for 3 appointments. His knowledge was average. His attitude was dismissive and condescending. He had no idea how to work MyQ which is a selling point to the garage motor I bought. He literally said "you're on your own" and wouldn't answer a single question. Next time I will go with a different company.

One star--called ahead and arrived within time framework Garage door was opening and closing without any problem. I intended to purchase a new Lift Master, as the one I have cannot read new technology allowing me to program it for my new Lexus. I called and was expecting to pay $614 plus tax and labor to install. The worker would not install the Lift Master without new springs and bearings---cost $1,576.77.

This is an outstanding company with exceptional service. From the very first point of contact to the completion of the job they are entirely professional. It’s not often you deal with a company that knows how to do business like Precision Door. I feel so lucky I found them when my garage door came crashing down. I first called the company that installed the door. They weren’t able to come out until the next day….so I called someone who sounded good. That was Precision. My appointment was swiftly set up for the same day. Confirmation was immediately sent by email and a time slot was given. The gentleman coming to repair my door, Paul Brinkman, called and let me know exactly when he would arrive. He was here exactly when he said. Paul saw the problem (which wasn’t straightforward) and readily thought through how to tackle it. He was totally professional and explained what he was going to do. I was amazed at how quickly and expertly he got the job done. In addition, he was very personable. It was like having a good neighbor over to help. Besides, Paul, as a cat lover, reached out to my kitty and my cat gave him his seal of approval by allowing Paul to hold him. Doesn’t get much better than that!
