The Pros: Answered the phone at 5am when I called. Very courteous on the phone, detailed, and immediately gave an acceptable window (10am-2pm). The Cons: Didn't call ahead of time despite telling me he would (minor). Coming near the end of the window (minor). Then the work was "You have to get all these things new", which included two springs, a roller, and two drums. The full cost was $1125 with installation. I then checked and found a new door, fully installed, from another company would be closr to $1300, and it would include an actual new door, springs, motor, and everything else. We ended up paying because our car was trapped in the garage before the guy arrived, and we didn't feel comfortable saying "No" after he started working. So, while prompt, if you can avoid calling them, you should.

There was a communication barrier between us.He either didn't understand what I was saying or didn't care.His main focus was to sell me something that I didn't think I needed.When I asked him why I needed it, he tried to change the subject.He felt totally untrustworthy to me, which is why I declined to have any additional work done.

I had asked for a few things in the appointment I made: to help me close my garage door and for a price quote for a new door entirely as the one I currently have is shot. I was excited to have someone come out because it was a safety issue with my door being partially open and I definitely couldn't close it on my own. The woman I spoke to was amazing and helped me immensely. She understood the urgency of my request and got someone over the same day. She said the service to close the garage would be $49.95 but that was half off $24.95 (give or take a few pennies)..... YES! I thought that was a great price considering another company wanted to charge me $65.00. Unfortunately, that's when my great experience ended. The tech who came out to service my garage door and quote me on a new one tried to make me feel as though he was giving me all these great deals. "This is what I'm going to do for you." and so on and so on. My entire appt was like this. The more he talked the more shut down I became. I'm a woman, after all, I'm likely pretty stupid. He quoted me just under $3400.00 for a new door. I told him I couldn't afford that and wanted to look at something cheaper. My request went on deaf ears. He wasn't looking after my best interest but rather he just wanted to push a sale and when I told him I need to get other estimates he wasn't happy. My service fee went from $24.95 to $249.00. WHAT? To shut my garage door? He said if I purchased the door the service would be FREE. Now I'm pissed and want him out of my house. What a huge disappointment with my experience, especially since you are family owned and diamond certified. The end result. The tech was able to shut my door and didn't charge me. I'm not too sure why, but I thanked him and he was on his way. He definitely wasn't happy when he left. He looked more annoyed with me because I didn't order the door.

They sent the technician that day and I was grateful. And they did the good service but as I did not have time to compare service fees I was panicking for the price I paid for this unexpected situation. I was impressed with the owner Pat who has listened to my concern and took a look at my invoice and gave me a discount. More than the discount I was so grateful to be heard. I just saw this email and I can tell that they are conscientious. Ty!

The garage door was installed by San Jose Garage Door (your company I believe)about 14 years ago. The mortoe had finally burned out. The tech said the door itself was still in great condition so jhe reoplacve the motor, rail, etc, and readjusted the door, after he was finished, two hrs. later the only evidence that he had been here was asuper quiet smooth running garage door.
