I had asked for a few things in the appointment I made: to help me close my garage door and for a price quote for a new door entirely as the one I currently have is shot. I was excited to have someone come out because it was a safety issue with my door being partially open and I definitely couldn't close it on my own. The woman I spoke to was amazing and helped me immensely. She understood the urgency of my request and got someone over the same day. She said the service to close the garage would be $49.95 but that was half off $24.95 (give or take a few pennies)..... YES! I thought that was a great price considering another company wanted to charge me $65.00. Unfortunately, that's when my great experience ended. The tech who came out to service my garage door and quote me on a new one tried to make me feel as though he was giving me all these great deals. "This is what I'm going to do for you." and so on and so on. My entire appt was like this. The more he talked the more shut down I became. I'm a woman, after all, I'm likely pretty stupid. He quoted me just under $3400.00 for a new door. I told him I couldn't afford that and wanted to look at something cheaper. My request went on deaf ears. He wasn't looking after my best interest but rather he just wanted to push a sale and when I told him I need to get other estimates he wasn't happy. My service fee went from $24.95 to $249.00. WHAT? To shut my garage door? He said if I purchased the door the service would be FREE. Now I'm pissed and want him out of my house. What a huge disappointment with my experience, especially since you are family owned and diamond certified. The end result. The tech was able to shut my door and didn't charge me. I'm not too sure why, but I thanked him and he was on his way. He definitely wasn't happy when he left. He looked more annoyed with me because I didn't order the door.

I called to have my garage door open. Unfortunately, the next availability was for the following day. My technician was Blake Zuniga. When he arrived in my home, he was very kind and friendly. He assessed my garage door. He gave me some options and asked which one I would like to do. Since, the company does not carry Wayne Dalton brand, Blake provided me some other brands they the company provides. Since getting a whole new garage was costly, he made every effort to repair my garage as best as he can. He took his time and was very patient. At the end of his work, I was more than satisfied with his repair. I highly recommend Blake and this company to everyone! Thank you...

He arrived a little sooner, he showed up in uniform and a marked truck. He was very polite and efficient. Once installed he went over everything with us. He answered all of our questions. We've had great service from James W and Precision Overhead Garage Door in the past, so when our garage door didn't work the evening of Thanksgiving we knew who to call. James and Mario were able to come early this afternoon, and pretty quickly ascertained that old Genie had breathed its last gasp (he reset the motherboard by unplugging the power for 20 seconds, and the motor started, but was struggling to lift the door). Amazing it lasted as long as it had...Within about an hour we had a new, modern LiftMaster with new rails, new safety lights, digital programmable keypad, back-up battery (CA requirement as of the 1st of the year), and LED lights. Amazingly quiet operation! James and Mario left the garage as neat as they had found it (no cars, just my motorcycle and a ton of boxes they had to remove and replace). Definitely, Precision is the company to call for all your garage door needs!

I live in the Willow Glen/Cambrian area of San Jose. My garage door spring shattered during the night. I called Precision at 8:00 a.m. the next morning requesting service. At 11:00 a.m. Mike and Mario arrived in the Precision truck. Not only had the spring shattered but the axel bearings were completely worn through and broken as was one of the door hinges. They took apart everything, replaced the damaged parts and were finished and gone at 12:10 p.m. I couldn't ask for better service... I also turned Mike on to a blues guitarist he'd never heard of.

When i scheduled the appointment i was quoted $299 to replace my broken springs At the time of the appointment I upgraded to the heavier duty springs which increased my cost to $350 than my torsion rod was bad & the bearings needed to be upgraded so now my bill went to $923 with labor & tax. After all the work was done the installer was looking at the door & noticed the bracket that attached the j bar to the motor to the door was cracked & broken also separating from the door which must have happened when the spring broke. So i now need to replace the door after spending $923 i still have a garage door that i cant open. I feel that if the installer would have done an inspection of the door before doing the repair we could have settled the situation with me paying for the service call & not $923.

Mario and Mike came out to address the issue with my garage door. In no time, Mike found the problem to be with the support bracket that mounts to the door. Mario installed a new bracket, problem fixed. He even programmed my phone to operate and monitor the door. They were friendly and professional. I only use Precision for my garage door needs. Gabriel arrived within 2 hours of my initial call to Precision Door Service - VERY FAST ! He had all the attributes of a Bay Scout - helpful, knowledgeable, polite, accommodating ( I guess I don't remember the Boy Scout code as well as I used to.) But he was very good. Blake did an outstanding job. We had a 26 yr. old system in need of major repair. Blake laid out three different options for the work, including costs, warranties, and discounts. We opted for the complete repair and replacement of the system including two new remote controllers. Blake worked diligently and thoroughly with minimum clutter to our garage. His people skills and customer service were exceptionally high. He showed us how to operate the new system, and we were delighted with the smooth quiet operation, once installed. Blake also made strategic adjustments to the frame of the system to avoid wear and tear on the moving parts, the garage door itself, and improve alignment of the whole system. We would highly recommend Blake and Precision Door to anyone.
