Joel was prompt and efficient. We had springs break a couple of years ago and this time our sensors weren't working properly so he replaced them and serviced the door as well. He came out and replaced them for us. He is a pleasure to work with; explained all costs; was timely and got the job done well. It was nice to have him return to my home since I'd worked with him before and he'd done a great job then and now!

Called in evening with malfunctioning garage doors and service was provided the very next morning. A technician called in the early part of the 4 hour arrival window to leave a message that he was arriving in 15 minutes. My husband was unable to decipher any of the message due to poor quality English spoken very fast. I am fluent in Spanish and was able to make out that his name was Paulino. Our experience with him was mixed. He assessed and repaired the problem competently and expeditiously and did not pressure me to replace unnecessary parts. He also provided, but only upon asking, suggestions about future maintenance. When I expressed my sticker shock at the $1,800 cost of the repair, which included new springs, cables, wheels, and some tightening and lubricating, he was dismissive of my concern brushing it off as purely inflationary. My husband ran a manufacturing business for many years and is well aware of industry markup margins for parts. When we reviewed the invoice in detail, it became clear to us a large component of the “inflation” was on the part of Precision, Paulino, or both. We realized it was a classic ripoff. There were also red flags about the overall dubious professional trustworthiness of this technician. We will take our business elsewhere for any future service.

Precision Garage Door is the BEST !!! I called on Friday and on Saturday Jose Brizuela, the technician, was here on time as promised. Jose was very thorough and showed me in detail the problem with the garage door and then very efficiently corrected the problems. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and professional. I appreciate the quick response that Precision provided to address the issue with my garage door. Two questions: 1) The service charge of $69.95, though was discounted by 50%, for just calling for service and set up an appointment, is to me an extra or unnecessary charge. I call MD's office to make an appointment to see the doctor, the receptionist will gather my info and set the appointment time, was there a charge for making that phone call? 2) One of my garage door sensor mounting rack was broken by an accident. I expected a replacement of the rack and check/align the circuit/sensor to solve the problem (It is not found under below "Purchase a New Product?). Instead the technician simply cut off the existing sensors/wires and replaced with a pair of new sensors, mounted, wired and aligned to function. The parts was an unexpected charge of $181.82, Should this be communicated clearly to the customer prior to the work starts to avoid a feeling of being overcharged or even ripped off? So if I'd recommend Precision to others, I will warn them to be alert the cost could be high no matter how small the issue is.

My 20 plus year old garage door just died and broke. Precision sent over Antonio. They gave me a four hour window, but it seemed like he headed over almost immediately. He’s very professional, friendly, helpful and respectful. He even left my garage cleaner then when he got there. He right away put me at ease about what needed to be done and said everything went smooth as butter. I would definitely recommend him and precision.

Called on a Friday afternoon and technician Paul B. showed up at our home ~2 hours later. He did a thorough inspection of our roll-up garage door which had been making a lot of noise as of late. After his inspection he gave us three quotes for different levels of repair. Since the has been installed nearly 16 years ago we opted for the highest level of service and got new rollers, new motor with awesome LED lights, new sensors, and new interior and exterior keypads which included a lot a features we didn't have before including a phone app. Paul was very friendly and professional, he did not try to sell us on any particular option but showed us what was available to us and gave us a AAA discount, which we appreciated. We now have a virtually silent garage door with lots of bells and whistles. We're very happy we called Precision and that Paul ended up being our service provider. Thanks so much for such a good experience!

Excellent service. Responded the same day I contacted them and at the time they indicated. Representative was professional and courteous as well as very knowledgeable about the needs of the repair and was open and clear on what would be needed to bring my 20+ year old door up to date and functioning smoothly. All the necessary parts were on the truck so there was no need to return to complete the repairs (rollers, cables, bearings). All repairs were completed in a timely fashion.

I am very happy with the service I received from Precision Garage Door of San Jose, from making an appointment, meeting the technician within the time frame I had been given, and observing him at work. The spring on our garage door broke just after we tucked both our cars in the garage for the night. How nice to be able to call Precision at 8:30PM, talk to a real person, and make an appointment for the next day. The technician contacted us when he was on his way, well within our promised service window. He was very personable, explained our options after a thorough inspection of our door and all the components. He was even able to raise the door - Herculean strength! The estimate was detailed and he gave us alternatives. The work was done in about 1.5 hours and our door has never run more smoothly. Good job!

Precision serviceman Paul Brinkman came at 7:45 pm to repair a broken wheel off the track on my garage door. He did a clean and proper repair. When he left the door was purring. Paul’s work was outstanding—swift and meticulous. I truly value and appreciate the quality he delivered. However, I have concerns regarding the billing. While I believe Paul’s expertise warrants the cost, the breakdown suggesting a significant portion went to materials feels off. I’ve seen similar components on Home Depot and Amazon for half the price. I’m more than willing to pay for Paul’s professionalism, but I’d prefer not to feel overcharged for materials.
