My garage door Torsion Spring broke in 2004, I called Precision Garage Door to replace it. It was broken yesterday and I called again, immediately they send Mario to replace it again with 50% service call discount. Mario did an fantastic job in 1 hour and I only need to pay he labor cost of replacing the spring, as it was under 10 years warranty.

Brandon Brooks inspect the garage door opener and pointed out all the worn out parts. He suggested I install a new one. I was not surprised since the opener was at least 35 years old. He had one on the truck which he installed. He worked quickly and thoroughly. I love all the new features which Brandon explained to me.

This is an outstanding company! We have been a customer of Precision Door for almost 20 years, Startring with a door/opener purchase in 2000, and followed by a purchase of a replacement door/opener in 2015. Technicians Mario & Erik called in advance of arrival and arrived when promised. Both were very professional and courteous making good recommendations after examining my 20 year old overhead door. They made the repairs and serviced all other moving parts. I was pleased with their work and courtesy. My only negative is the pricing of the parts needing replacement: (2) seven foot torsion cables $286 and (2) cable drums $196.56. This did include labor to install but still seemed somewhat expensive.

I called Precision because I couldn't open my garage door, and Gabriel came out within 90 minutes. He gave me a clear estimate of the work and the price and then he replaced the broken spring. He explained all his work to me and did a wonderful job! And he was friendly and nice as well. Definitely 5 stars for Gabriel and Precision.

James W. was the service technician who responded to my call for replacement of a broken spring. He was professional, took the time to inspect my garage door, and provided me with an overview of existing and potential problems Although I did not have him replace all of the components he identified that might need replacing at some future time there was NO pressure to have the suggested work done at this time. The replacement of door springs and cables was done quickly and efficiently in just over an hour. Overall, I am very pleased with James and his efficient and timely service.

Jerry showed up on time and diagnosed why our garage door wouldn’t open. There were 3 problems with how our door had been installed. He then fixed them quickly and we were up and running. He also educated me on how to better maintain the doors — I learned a lot — and as an extra bonus he pointed out a mistake in how our fence was installed (totally unrelated to the garage door) that I could fix. He really went above and beyond!

The Pros: Answered the phone at 5am when I called. Very courteous on the phone, detailed, and immediately gave an acceptable window (10am-2pm). The Cons: Didn't call ahead of time despite telling me he would (minor). Coming near the end of the window (minor). Then the work was "You have to get all these things new", which included two springs, a roller, and two drums. The full cost was $1125 with installation. I then checked and found a new door, fully installed, from another company would be closr to $1300, and it would include an actual new door, springs, motor, and everything else. We ended up paying because our car was trapped in the garage before the guy arrived, and we didn't feel comfortable saying "No" after he started working. So, while prompt, if you can avoid calling them, you should.

We've had great service from James W and Precision Overhead Garage Door in the past, so when our garage door didn't work the evening of Thanksgiving we knew who to call. James and Mario were able to come early this afternoon, and pretty quickly ascertained that old Genie had breathed its last gasp (he reset the motherboard by unplugging the power for 20 seconds, and the motor started, but was struggling to lift the door). Amazing it lasted as long as it had...Within about an hour we had a new, modern LiftMaster with new rails, new safety lights, digital programmable keypad, back-up battery (CA requirement as of the 1st of the year), and LED lights. Amazingly quiet operation! James and Mario left the garage as neat as they had found it (no cars, just my motorcycle and a ton of boxes they had to remove and replace). Definitely, Precision is the company to call for all your garage door needs!
