I live in the Willow Glen/Cambrian area of San Jose. My garage door spring shattered during the night. I called Precision at 8:00 a.m. the next morning requesting service. At 11:00 a.m. Mike and Mario arrived in the Precision truck. Not only had the spring shattered but the axel bearings were completely worn through and broken as was one of the door hinges. They took apart everything, replaced the damaged parts and were finished and gone at 12:10 p.m. I couldn't ask for better service... I also turned Mike on to a blues guitarist he'd never heard of.

When i scheduled the appointment i was quoted $299 to replace my broken springs At the time of the appointment I upgraded to the heavier duty springs which increased my cost to $350 than my torsion rod was bad & the bearings needed to be upgraded so now my bill went to $923 with labor & tax. After all the work was done the installer was looking at the door & noticed the bracket that attached the j bar to the motor to the door was cracked & broken also separating from the door which must have happened when the spring broke. So i now need to replace the door after spending $923 i still have a garage door that i cant open. I feel that if the installer would have done an inspection of the door before doing the repair we could have settled the situation with me paying for the service call & not $923.

Mario and Mike came out to address the issue with my garage door. In no time, Mike found the problem to be with the support bracket that mounts to the door. Mario installed a new bracket, problem fixed. He even programmed my phone to operate and monitor the door. They were friendly and professional. I only use Precision for my garage door needs. I was very happy with the service that Gabe provided. As promised, he called about 30 minutes prior to arrival and finished the job within the time he estimated. The basic issue was a broken door spring, but he looked everything over thoroughly and recommended that a few additional components be replaced. Since the door is almost 30 years old, I thought that was worthwhile. The door moves smoothly and is much more quiet than before.

Found Precision Door Service in the Diamond Certified Directory. Extremely impressed with their service and professionalism. Very easy to schedule an appointment. The repair man, Sameh, called our home on his way over and he arrived within the expected time window. Our garage door opener had stopped working, so we had no idea whether it could be repaired or had to be replaced. Sameh did an excellent job of explaining the issue to us and providing us with several options on how to proceed. We decided to go with a new garage door opener, and he was able to completely install it (by himself!) within 2 hours. It works great and he cleaned up the entire area before leaving. I will definitely use Precision Door for any future issues that I have with my garage door, and I would highly recommend them.

My serviceman, Sameh Tamimi, was professional as well as personable. He assessed my needs efficiently and explained my options. Unfortunately, I need a panel that might not be readily available, as my garage door appear to have been custom made (by previous owner). Sameh was understanding and willing to put the effort into researching to find if your company can locate a properly sized panel. Sameh was more than patient with me as he educated me on what my "situation" entailed. We called on Sunday (Memorial weekend) for a cable repair on our Genie Pro Garage Door. Tyler, fabulous operator scheduled our job for that every afternoon and when "Dale" arrived, we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant individual! Dale quickly assessed the job and within 30 minutes he had completed the work. Called Precision on a Saturday afternoon and a technician (Dale) was there on Sunday at 9:00am. Dale sized up the problem, provided an estimate an repaired the door in less than an hour. He also gave me some pointers on keeping the system in good working condition, very happy with the service.

Generally a good choice. They are able to get hard to find motors with the latest features, and accessories. Routine installs or upgrades go smoothly. Complex or non-standard installation of less common parts (e.g. automatic locks), may be refused by some techs. That isn’t a problem if you are able to install the pieces yourself, but picky mechanically challenged customers may not be happy.

Fast and very professional service. They tracked down the difficult to find liftmaster 8550WL which is the latest variant of the motor listed as 8550W. Glad I opted for the spring replacement, since the bearings were discovered to be frozen and had to be replaced too. Highly recommended for those who want the best.

As a retired carpenter I noticed the professionalism when I called. The dispatcher was very thorough. I told her the springs broke and we couldn't get the car out of the garage.She made an appt the next day. When Cory showed up we decided to replace the old wooden doors with new steel ones. Cory was very helpful in helping us choose the right ones for our house and he fine tuned everything before he left. You guys know how to run a business.

Very happy with the service and that my garage door is now fixed. However, I was very surprised by the cost of $399 for labor charges. Total cost was $773 with parts and he wasn’t here more than an hour and half. But the service was top notch. Doug came out the same day and was extremely professional and courteous. He concluded quickly that the door manufactured by "Overhead Door" company was not repairable with the hardware he carried without significant alteration to the design. Recommended either getting a new door or get the original hardware. You cannot dream of a better service these day and age. Highly recommend these guys!!!
